Elizabeth Perkins

Elizabeth Perkins, a speaker and teacher, has spent more than a decade addressing major colleges and universities, organizations, and Christian audiences across the United States and around the world. As Executive Director of the John M. Perkins Foundation most recently Elizabeth has focused on teaching the Bible to women through an expository teaching style.

Elizabeth is the daughter of John and Vera Mae Perkins, Founders of John M. Perkins Foundation in Jackson, Mississippi, Voice of Calvary Ministries and Fellowship, Harambee Christian Family Center, and the Christian Community Development Association. Elizabeth grew up well acquainted with the Bible. As a freshman in college, she interned with InterVarsity’s youth ministry under the leadership of Brenda Salter McNeil, in Pasadena, California. She also worked for Urban Family Magazine (Reconcilers Magazine). Elizabeth soon found that her passion was serving the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of children and youth. She began to speak to youth groups, Bible study groups, colleges and other events.

Elizabeth has worked as a youth minister for twenty years and has started youth programs around the country. She has also been a consultant for other ministries and organizations. Recently she has focused on the Zechariah 8 Housing ministry, a program of the John M. Perkins Foundation. She considers Barbara Skinner, Bishop Ronnie Crudup and Dolphus Weary as her mentors in ministry.

Elizabeth speaks around the United States at churches, colleges and other events. Visit our website www.jmpf.org for booking engagements and to download an initial information form or call the John M. Perkins Foundation at 601.354.1563.
