The John M. Perkins Foundation (JMPF) for
Reconciliation & Development is located in West
Jackson, the heart of the inner-city of Jackson, Mississippi.
However, our training and influence in the area of holistic
Christian Community Development (CCD) spans the United States
and world. Through our efforts, we are "encouraging and
developing leaders and resources to further the vision of
holistic Christian Community Development and racial
reconciliation." To better emphasize his vision of
ministering to the total or "whole" man, Dr. Perkins has coined the term
"wholistic" Christian Community Development."
We encourage you to use our site to expand your
understanding of "wholistic CCD" and consider ways of
partnering with us in this area of ministry which has been
highly effective in improving the quality of life within urban
communities.
After viewing our site, we want youth and adult church
groups and ministry leadership teams to come to Jackson, MS
for a missions trip or workshop. Then, watch how this
training and practical experience enriches your ministry's
effectiveness in transforming the communities you serve.
Be sure to check out our "Speaking Engagement"
link to see when Dr. Perkins will be in or near your city.

REGAL BOOKS PUBLISHES THE 30th
ANNIVERSARY EDITION
OF
LET JUSTICE ROLL DOWN WITH
It's been 30 years since Dr. John Perkins first
shared his story with the world on the pages of his classic
book, Let Justice Roll Down. The book taught us the
true meaning of Christianity and racial reconciliation as we
read how Dr. Perkins was able to forgive and love those who
had wronged him and almost beat him to death. We rejoiced as
he was able to move beyond the injustices he encountered
during the Civil Rights era, to become a pioneer in what is
now known as Christian community development.
Let Justice Roll Down
has been an inspiration to those of us who
believe in the principles and power of Christian community
development. In fact, the October 2006 edition of
Christianity Today lists it as No.14 in an article that
names 50 of "The Top Books that have Shaped Evangelicals."
As members of the Body of Christ, Dr. Perkins
has taught us that we are called to minister to the "whole"
man. That basically means ministering to body, mind and soul.
It is with much joy, yet
with humility, that we announce Regal Books has honored our
founder by publishing a special Anniversary Edition of his
book, Let Justice Roll Down, which is scheduled for national
release in December. However, the JMPF office has a
limited supply of early-release copies of the book. Purchase
your copy of the hard-back classic for $20, plus shipping and
handling. To order books or for more details, email Patrice C.
Perkins at
[email protected].
